This is a quick note to let you know that we are once again adjusting some operating hours.
We will now be opening daily at 11am thru Sept 6th, 2020. We will remain open until 6pm (except Wednesday when we will operate Surf Burger only and close at 3pm) Please be advised that some days we may be offering a Limited Surf Burger Menu in the Kohala Burger Dining Hall (as we are working to upgrade our Surf Burger POS Systems to bring you touch-less payment and on-line ordering)
We have many operational changes upcoming after Labor Day Weekend. Changes to expect include: Surf Burger on-line ordering, changes to operational hours, a temporary closure and suspension of some or all services and operations (TBA), Menu revisions, walk up ordering and telephone pick ups.
As the Hawaii county Covid cases continue to increase we will be establishing systems designed to protect our crew and limit both our guests and staff’s exposure to each other. We will be encouraging on-line ordering by offering our VALUE priced Surf Burger menu all day. We will be further limiting our customer exposure by requiring zero contact prepayment for all Kohala Burger and Taco telephone orders.
The upcoming Fall season is expected to be our most difficult ever. We will be operating with a very limited staff and we have already been treading water financially since March. We appreciate your patience and support during this time. Once we finalize the POS upgrade and have successfully launched the on-line ordering operations for Surf Burger we will begin integrating the payment and telephone ordering systems at KBAT. Due to finances this may take 4-8 weeks, so please bear with us. Info will be available and updated daily on our telephone system 808-880-1923 x1
